Silvering technology for mirror glass
Glass cleaning: After cutting the glass to the required dimensions, rinse both sides with tap water. Then apply an aqueous solution of ferric red pigment to the surface to be coated; once dry, wipe off the pigment and rinse thoroughly with water. Next, gently scrub the coating side with a dilute stannous chloride solution. After washing, rinse away any residual stannous chloride with water. Finally, give the glass a final rinse with clean water—distilled water is preferred.
